Objective of Lab
The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the design through PC.
Since the majority of the design programs “use” specific “methodology – functioning” students become familiar with methods that they can in a very short period of time to “get acquainted” with the use of almost any design software(CAD). Secondly, systemic, students during their familiarization fully understand geometric concepts so that they can consolidate knowledge of Design, Building Construction Details, topography and general Civil Engineering subjects.
a) Theoretical Part
This Field cleaved producing in 2 main parts.
In the first part, students use a drawing program (whose handling learn in depth) for examples of building design, topography and general civil engineering drawings.
They understand geometric concepts are the “base” of each drawing, learning the design through PC based to the specific design program, become familiar with the environment of the program and apply their knowledge’s to selected examples of construction technology, topography and civil engineering general object.
Familiarized to design in two and three dimensions, and principles of photorealism (rendering) and printing where fully understand concepts like scale design (print) etc.
The second part there is a presentation of design programs and students are asked to indicate their function. Given that they fully understand the operation of a CAD software – Modeling shows that the operation of other software is similar and they get familiar with these very easy.
Stimulates in this way the confidence of the students regarding the design through PC (CAD).
b) Practical Part
In this [part the students apply their knowledge’s during the theoretical training. After the lecture are invited to apply – practicing the concepts taught. The “application process” “supported” by the lab staff which does not settle the question of the student but helps to solve alone.
During the course students are asked to create projects. At the end of their training, given a test which must be carried out in this period.
The purpose of the issue is to further develop the critical capacity of students in selecting appropriate “tools” to develop this theme. It is noteworthy that one part is a complex three-dimensional model sought to design photorealistic visualization and the “printing” other have not been taught this example they are asked to consider, but the methods by which they can be implemented. In this way stimulated and confidence.
d) Expected results
Students at the end of the training can create any design two or three dimensions, to plot at any scale, to create photorealistic (rendering) images.
They thoroughly familiar in geometric concepts.
They are able to choose the appropriate software depending on the particular job and can shortly to understand any CAD software.
They consolidate concepts construction technology, design and the general object of civil engineering.
